Watercolor artist and Colorado native, Randy Hale finds himself equally at home painting "en plein aire" or
inside his studio. He is just as comfortable painting cityscapes, mountain scenes, or portraits - whatever happens to
trigger his urge to paint! Wherever his journey might take him, he is always ready with paint "kit" in hand and a
sketchbook to record what he sees, on-the-spot. Many of these travel journal plein air sketches later are developed into
full blown exhibition quality paintings.
Currently, Randy maintains a full time position managing the installation business for all Home Depots throughout
the state. He is also President of the Colorado Watercolor Society, a non-profit organization with 500 members, and
is a member of the National Watercolor Society. His paintings have been juried into shows at the Colorado History
Museum, The Arvada Center's "Summer of Watercolor" which runs through November of 2007, and the Botanic Garden's 2007
Fall Exhibition. He is a regular participant and award winner at the Manitou Invitational Plein Air Summer Shows
as well as the Manitou "Colorado Treasures" Winter Exhibition. Randy's paintings have sold quickly at "The Taste of Creede"
held over Memorial Day weekends, and at the popular end-of-summer plein air festival - "Victor Celebrates the Arts."
Randy has been an award winner at the "Colorado Visions" show held in Westminster, Colorado as well as the Lone Tree
Open Art Exhibition. His paintings can be seen at L.I.W. Cargo Fine Art Gallery in Manitou Springs and in many
private and corporate collections world-wide.
